Dragon’s Queen by Michelle Reynolds

I wanted to leave a better review for this story.  I liked the manner in which it was told.  Ban is a slave, but rather than being bartered off or put to work, her master educates her, rearing her up from childhood to become his mate.  The story is very short, but then the description says it’s short.  The sex is brutal, and not in a good way.  He says he wants her for his mate, but he takes her with little foreplay and no consideration and that was very off-putting for me.  There are a LOT of formatting and typos in this tale.  It looks as if it has never been edited.  The author can, however, tell a story.  I wish this had been edited.  I wish it had been longer.  I wish the sex had been arousing…at all.  I’m sorry, but this is not 5-star material by any means.  Perhaps if the other three reviewers had actually downloaded and read the book, their reviews might have been more honest. 3 stars
